Finals day results.....2 closely fought matches both going down to the 18th hole

Congratulations to all our GLCGA Foursome finalists who competed yesterday on our Finals Day at Minchinhampton GC.  It was an exciting day with both finals completing their matches on the 18th hole.The Watson Williams Scratch Foursomes final was between Bristol & Clifton GC and Knowle GC.  The clubs were represented by four of our talented GLCGA county players. Alex Saunders, Current County Vice Captain & Mariella Buchanan (Bristol & Clifton GC) vs Jo Hodge & Millie Gait (Knowle GC).  It was a closely fought contest with some excellent golf played, with Knowle winning 1 Up.  The County Handicap Foursomes final was between The Bristol GC and Long Ashton GC.  The clubs were represented by Rachael Paul & Barbara Lewis (The Bristol GC) vs Andrea White & Kirsten Higgs (Long Ashton GC).  Again this was another closely fought contest with The Bristol winning 2 Up.

Thank you to both supporters and caddies who attended the event yesterday and of course to Minchinhampton GC for hosting our Finals Day.
